Victor invited us to talk about his creation, which is both over exciting and mastered. Victor Weinsanto is at the forefront of a new generation of designers committed to a positive revolution in the industry. A revolution committed to creative freedom, inclusivity and fashion with a purpose.

THE COMMITTED EXTRAVAGANCE

JULIETTE

Hello Victor, I'm delighted to welcome you to our post-Fashion Week SS24 newsletter! I had the chance to come and see your show and I really loved your collection, well done again! It made me want to ask you a few questions. While the first pass and a few of the looks are a continuation of the overflowing 'wow' creativity that characterizes your identity, I spotted a few new looks with super desirable pieces that are really wearable on a daily basis. I'm thinking in particular of a sublime long Camel coat. Can you tell me more about it?

VICTOR

I also try to offer beautiful pieces in beautiful materials that can be worn by as many people as possible. I myself have a fairly classic style of cloth, and I like to play and mix and match with the pieces. It's important to show that the brand isn't just associated with couture and extravagant pieces, but also with a more refined style that's aware of the realities of the market.

The level of technical realization of the pieces was truly impressive. Well done to you, because beyond the image, we can feel a strong love for a well-made garment. How do you manage to achieve this level of quality?

THE PERFECT DAY SS24 SHOW

VICTOR

I love the quest for perfection and the fine-tuning phase. I was lucky enough to learn to observe during my time at Gaultier and, above all, to be surrounded by the best! My pattern maker Matteo Filloux, my milliner Claudie Linchet and my tailor Miss Boo are all very professional and love a job well done!

JULIETTE

This is your tenth collection, congratulations on your continuity, we know how difficult it is when you launch a brand in this sector! What are your plans for the future?
And if we want to buy your pieces or find out more about you and your brand, where do we go?

VICTOR

It's true that it's really difficult to launch a brand and stay the course. I'm still very young in the business and don't really know what the future holds for me, but I'm ready to take up the challenge. I'd like to continue working on projects that make sense, as well as potentially discovering new experiences that I wouldn't have thought of.
I'm already very lucky to be able to realize my dream, but I'm fully aware of the challenges and difficulties I'm going to have to face. Fortunately I have the support of my husband Jan Robert ALLO (company director). Without him, I don't know if I would have had broad enough shoulders.

You can buy us online on our own website or at Spring and Selfridges, but also in shops such as the various Dover Street Markets Koibird H Lorenzo Jogging... If you want to find out more about our work, there's our instagram or the videos made by Loïc Prigent. They really illustrate my team and the atmosphere that exists within my brand!

JULIETTE

We really feel a strong inclusive approach to each of your presentations. I'd even go so far as to say that this time at Le Carbone there was a mysterious emotion, a touch of the phantasmagorical, brought about in particular by the way the models moved around, somewhere between dance and lasciviousness. People who know how to convey emotion, a bit like theater actors. What's your secret for getting us to experience this kind of emotion?

VICTOR

The secret is to ask them to be themselves while adding a bit of whimsy and humour. The aim is to have fun while bringing real meaning to the movements. This will transmit an emotion to the audience. Good or bad.
